BACK TO BASICS: SKINCARE
Skincare can get complex, but having healthy skin and a skin care routine can be very simple. A good skin care routine doesn’t have to be a 10-step process and you don’t have to spend thousands filling up your cabinets. Below are some of my simple at home steps towards a good basic start to a healthy skin…
SKIN 101: Healthy Skin Care
Cleanse - daily cleansing purpose is to get rid of makeup, dirt, debris, germs and excessive oils on the skin. If you love wearing makeup, double cleansing is a great way to ensure everything is removed ( especially at night )
Moisturizing - is an essential step in good skin care. It is also important to choose the right moisturizer for your skin type. Moisturizing will help replenish to maintain its natural structure, PH balance, reduce damage from free radicals, and helps skin cells function more normally.
Sunscreen - Final step in a good skin care routine, which YES we all tend to forget about it sometimes. But wearing SPF of 30 or higher DAILY is so crucial to maintaining good healthy skin.
So guys, this is just my take on simple skin care routine and its importance, and how I take care of my skin prior to doing serums, oils and targeted products. Leave questions or comments below or if you need more guidance, make an appointment with your dermatologist or esthetician.
